The best Jackbox games depend on who is in the room: Quiplash 3 fits mixed groups who enjoy fast joke prompts, Fibbage 4 suits trivia bluffing, Drawful: Animate works across varying drawing skills, Bracketeering handles crowds past eight players, Job Job and Talking Points suit coworkers, Trivia Murder Party challenges trivia fans, and Fakin’ It fits small in-person gatherings.
In The Jackbox Party Pack series, one person launches the game and everyone else joins on a phone, tablet or browser with a room code.
Which Jackbox Game Fits Your Crowd
Pick your game by the crowd in front of you. Quiplash 3 fits mixed groups who like jokes, Fibbage 4 rewards trivia bluffing, Drawful: Animate welcomes artists and non-artists alike, Bracketeering expands past eight active players, Job Job and Talking Points engage professional teams, Trivia Murder Party pushes competitive trivia buffs, and Fakin’ It suits a small circle sitting in the same living room.
The series has twelve main packs with five games each. Matching a title to your gathering prevents awkward lulls and keeps guests engaged from the opening round.

How Jackbox Works and What the Host Needs
One person owns and launches the game, on a console, a computer or a TV device. Everyone else joins on their own phone, tablet or browser by entering a room code at jackbox.tv. Nobody downloads an app.
Games are generally limited to 4 to 8 active players. Anyone who joins after that becomes an audience member who can vote and affect scoring. Players can be in the same room or remote, watching through a stream or shared screen. The first six packs gained renewed attention during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to socialize at a distance.
The per-game ranges in the table come from The Jackbox Party Pack entry on Wikipedia. Games in later packs and sequels can change, so confirm the range on the store page for your platform.
Best Jackbox Games for Large Groups
Bracketeering supports 3 to 16 players, the widest range of the numbered-pack games here. Answers are placed on a tournament-style bracket and players vote through the rounds.
Lie Swatter handles even larger crowds, with up to 100 players. Players guess whether trivia statements are true or false. It comes from Pack 1.
Quixort supports 1 to 10 players and is played in teams. Push the Button also takes 4 to 10 players, as a social deduction game set on a spaceship. When hosting a big in-person crowd with no available screens, you can pivot to a no-screen option like our free bingo card generator to keep everyone involved.
Best Jackbox Games for Office and Work Parties
Job Job uses a job-interview format for 3 to 10 players. Players answer interview questions using only words from other players’ icebreaker answers and the question itself.
Talking Points supports three to eight players. One person acts as the speaker, delivering a talk over slides they are seeing for the first time. Other players act as assistants while the audience reacts.
Quiplash 3 and Joke Boat suit groups that enjoy comedy writing. Joke Boat has players complete joke setups using words the group brainstormed at the start. For full agendas, see our guides on office party games and virtual team building activities.
Workplace hosts must manage content settings carefully. Ten of the eleven main packs through Pack 11 default to an ESRB Teen rating. A family-friendly option censors certain questions and player input.
Best Jackbox Games for Family and Mixed-Age Groups
Drawful: Animate suits this group. Up to 10 players make two-frame animations instead of one still drawing.
Fibbage 4 works for family game nights that enjoy general trivia. Players write fake answers to a missing word in an obscure fact and try to spot the real one. Fibbage 4 also features Final Fibbage rounds with two facts.
Guesspionage offers another low-friction option for 2 to 8 players. Each player guesses what percentage of people do something, and the others say higher or lower.
Parents should review age indicators before buying a full pack. For example, The Jackbox Party Pack 8 carries an ESRB rating of Everyone 10+ (E10+). The family-friendly option censors certain questions and player input in the packs through Pack 11.
Best Jackbox Games for Trivia Fans
Trivia Murder Party is for 1 to 8 players. It combines multiple-choice trivia with a horror-thriller theme, and a player who answers wrong may face a Killing Floor mini-game. Trivia Murder Party 2 follows in Pack 6, and a third game arrived in 2026.
Fibbage 4 offers a contrasting trivia style. Rather than recalling niche dates, players try to outsmart their peers with plausible fake answers. Timejinx (1 to 8 players) asks for the year events happened, and Legends of Trivia (1 to 6 players) is cooperative trivia in an RPG setting. For seasonal gatherings, pair a session with our Thanksgiving party games and Christmas party games for large groups guides.
Best Jackbox Games for Small Groups and Social Deduction
Fakin’ It is for three to six players and is played locally. One player is the Faker, who does not know the instruction the others are following and must blend in.
Push the Button is for 4 to 10 players. Players portray a crew aboard a spaceship, and the humans must eject the aliens before a timer runs out.
Hypnotorious is for 4 to 8 players. It is a social deduction game on a stage show where players hold secret identities. Suspectives, also for 4 to 8 players, is a social deduction game built from survey answers. For more ideas for older groups, see our party games for adults.
Starter Bundles and Standalone Packs
The Jackbox Party Starter is an introductory bundle of three games: Quiplash 3, Tee K.O. and Trivia Murder Party 2. That covers joke writing, drawing and trivia.
The Jackbox Party Essentials (2026) bundles Drawful 2, Quiplash 3 and Fibbage 4. If you host gatherings for adults only, The Jackbox Naughty Pack includes Fakin’ It All Night Long, Dirty Drawful and Let Me Finish.
As of 2026, twelve main packs have been released, each containing five games. Reviewing pack contents before buying helps you avoid a collection where most games need a group size you cannot regularly assemble. Check the store page for your platform at Jackbox Games for current prices, which are not listed here. If your group cannot gather around one shared screen or you want a free option, see games like Jackbox.
Jackbox Party Pack 12
Jackbox Party Pack 12 is dated October 15, 2026 and has five games: We Forgot a Card, MegaPals, Debate and Switch, Idol Factions and Hyperface. Jackbox Games has not listed player counts for them in the sources we used, so check the store page before you buy. Our guide to Jackbox Party Pack 12 covers which of the five fits which crowd.
Fakin’ It XL for Holiday Parties
Fakin’ It XL is a standalone Jackbox Games release that is not out yet. It launches November 12 at $8.99. Per Output Lag, it supports up to eight players where the original supports 3 to 6, and Jackbox says it adds modes for remote play where the original is played locally.
XL reskins Fakin’ It All Night Long from The Jackbox Naughty Pack and removes that game’s risqué material. Jackbox Games describes the target as “good, clean, T-for-Teen fun.” It also brings back rounds from the original and adds new question types, Emojional Damage and Thumb Luck. In the original, some rounds have players point at people around them, which is hard over a livestream or video call. XL adds controller options that let your avatar share that information for you.
Jackbox’s announcement lists Steam, Epic, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox for November 12. Output Lag reports that the Switch version follows later this year, so treat Switch timing as unconfirmed for launch day.
If you want more than one game, the Jackbox Backpack Bundle on Steam costs $46.95. It includes XL, Trivia Murder Party 3 and The Jackbox Party Pack 12. The Jackbox Holiday Bundle costs $34.69 on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox, and its contents are not listed here.
Pick XL if you want up to eight players or remote-play modes. Pick the original if 3 to 6 local players is enough. For more group options, see our Thanksgiving party games guide.
What Would Change This Pick
If your group is spread across locations, Fakin’ It is a poor fit because it is played locally. Swap it for Quiplash 3 or Drawful: Animate, since remote players can join a room from their own phones.
If the host cannot connect a computer or console to a screen, screen-dependent games are not practical. In that case, move to a no-screen activity from our icebreaker games for work guide.
If your group grows past 16 and people refuse to sit in the audience, Bracketeering stops fitting. Lie Swatter, at up to 100 players, is the one game here that handles it.
Matching Your Group to the Right Jackbox Game
If your gathering includes a casual mix of friends who enjoy lighthearted banter, launch Quiplash 3.
If your group loves trivia and enjoys bluffing opponents with plausible lies, pick Fibbage 4.
If you want a creative game where poor artists still have a great time, load Drawful: Animate.
If you are managing an office social or team-building session, select Job Job or Talking Points with the family-friendly setting turned on.
If you are hosting a large party with nine to 16 players, run Bracketeering to keep everyone actively competing.
If you have a massive gathering of up to 100 people, launch Lie Swatter for fast-paced true-or-false action.
If your group craves tense social deduction, launch Push the Button for a group of four to 10 or Fakin’ It for a small group in one room.
If you are running an intense trivia night, pick Trivia Murder Party to challenge the room.
Confirm your guest count, test your display setup, and run the title that matches your room.
